    Infectious Diseases Physician

    The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Stanford University seeks an Infectious Diseases Physician with training and/or experience in Infection Prevention and Control to join the Division as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree with board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and have medical licensure in California by the starting date.

    Job Description

    • Participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and research or other scholarly activities of the Department of Pediatrics.
    • Provide clinical service at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford (LPCH) and participating regional hospitals.
    • Work closely with the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and the Infection Preventionists of the hospital’s Department of IPC to achieve the goals of preventing infections in patients, staff, and visitors.

    Requirements

    • M.D. or D.O.
    • Successful completion of an approved pediatric residency training program.
    • Completed Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
    • Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
    • Eligibility for a California Medical License.
    • Proven excellence in clinical care, education, and administrative experience consistent with current career stage.
    • Experience or ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
    • Training and/or experience in hospital epidemiology and/or IPC.

    Compensation Information

    • Clinical Assistant Professor: $214,000-$227,000 annually
    • Clinical Associate Professor: $245,000-$258,000 annually
    • Clinical Professor: $297,000-$327,000 annually

    This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
