OB/GYN Laborist

Join a busy well-established group of 6 full-time OB/GYN physicians located in North Central Connecticut, within minutes of Hartford, 1.5 hours from Boston, and a little over 2 hours from New York City. They are looking for a full-time OB/GYN Laborist to do 8 24-hour shifts monthly with no office and no emergency department coverage. This new hire will join a group of 6 physicians doing obstetrics, but their senior partner is planning to transition from obstetrics to gynecology only.

The group shares call with another local group, providing a lot of flexibility, and they have a great lifestyle-friendly call of 1:10 with a post-call day off! The group performs a good mix of obstetrics and gynecology (approximately a 40/60 OB to GYN ratio) and averages 600 deliveries per year. They have 1 Laborist who works for their group and takes 7 24-hour calls monthly.

They work out of 4 offices, and their main office is fully equipped with electronic medical records, a procedure room, a moderate complexity lab, ultrasound, and technology. The hospital has a level III nursery and all services in-house, including a robot. They have 5 certified nurse midwives (CNMs) in this collaborative practice, and CNMs take first call and do the majority of the group's deliveries.

They are looking for a candidate who is a team player interested in a partnership-tracked position in a collaborative group practice that offers a nice balance of both obstetrics and gynecology. The group scrubs together and performs a lot of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) and robotics. They are looking for at least 1 generalist, 1 more Laborist to do 8 24-hour calls monthly with no office, and 1 CNM to do 3 days in the office and take 1 day of call weekly.
