Join our dynamic team as a CRNA in Waterloo, IA, located 55 miles from Cedar Rapids and 100 miles from Des Moines. This position offers a full-time, permanent opportunity at a 204-bed, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Cedar Valley, which is the busiest hospital in the area.
Job Description
- Cover a variety of cases including general, urology, neurosurgery, ortho, podiatry, and OB as well as out of the OR procedures
- Work independently with physician backup
- Participate in a tight-knit group and work in both the hospital and ambulatory surgical center
- Share call amongst providers and triage
- Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities served
- Perform general family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.
- Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Maintain a patient-focused, friendly demeanor and collaborate in a team environment
- Exhibit excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- NBCRNA required
- ACLS required
- 2-3 years of experience preferred, but will consider new graduates
- Must have a strong understanding of pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia medication
- Good communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Compassion when dealing with patients and attention to detail
