Gastroenterology Physician
Gastroenterology opening in Topeka, KS, 60 minutes from Kansas City.
Job Description
- Join a 9-man multi-specialty group with 2 gastroenterologists; one is looking to retire in about 5 years.
- Work in a clinic that is about 14,000 sq ft with several satellite offices that are visited 3-5 times per month, with a primary focus on the Topeka clinic.
- Each physician currently performs about 200 procedures per month and sees 20-25 patients per day.
- Perform scopes in the Endoscopy Center located across the hall from the clinic (owned by a physician and Am Surg) in the same building.
- Advanced procedures are done at St. Francis Medical Center; ERCP is preferred, and EUS is not mandatory but would be an asset.
- Call is 1:3 for office, with no GI ER call; will rotate with internal medicine for ER call once every 2-3 months for 24 hours.
- Can have an academic appointment at the University of Kansas as long as they have their time in the office.

- Buy-in to the Endoscopy suite and ancillaries to be determined (overhead is 50%).
- Currently, the physicians are collecting $3.5 million combined, with each physician making about $1.2 million before expenses.
