Join our team as an Adult Reconstructive Surgeon in Waterloo, Iowa, located 55 miles from Cedar Rapids. This position offers J1 and H1 visa sponsorship.

Job Description

• Full-time, permanent position in Orthopedic Surgery - Adult Reconstructive Surgery
• Efficient, well-supported clinic
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call coverage with work/life balance
• 204-bed hospital, Level 3 trauma center with established Hospitalist team
• 12-bed ICU with intensivist
• Support from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists
• Excellent OR access with experienced staff
• Ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures available
• Onsite physical therapy, full-scale diagnostic laboratory, and imaging services including MRI and CT

Responsibilities

• Rewarding mix between outpatient, inpatient, and surgery
• Flexible work week with built-in surgery days at hospital and ASC
• General orthopedic surgery with opportunity to build in sub-specialty interests
• Full range of clinical services including fracture management, total hips & knees, upper & lower extremities, trigger finger & carpal tunnel release
• In-office procedures include injections, casting, suture removal, fluid withdrawal from joints
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Hold an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States
