    Job Description

    • Serve as both a clinical expert and a strategic leader, overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
    • Balance 50% administrative responsibilities, such as managing departmental workflows, budgets, and compliance, and 50% clinical practice, providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services.
    • Collaborate with hospital leadership, referring physicians, and clinical teams to optimize imaging strategies and patient outcomes.
    • Provide visionary leadership for the Radiology Department, promoting excellence in patient safety, quality, and service delivery.
    • Supervise and mentor radiologists, technologists, and departmental staff.
    • Oversee staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with hospital administration and other clinical departments to enhance imaging services.
    • Lead quality improvement initiatives, including technological advancements and adherence to evidence-based practices.
    • Maintain a clinical practice by interpreting diagnostics and performing interventional procedures.
    • Manage departmental budget and resource allocation to ensure sustainability.
    • Participate in hospital committees and support strategic planning efforts.

    Requirements

    • Board Certification in Radiology (ABR or equivalent).
    • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
    • Proven leadership or administrative experience within a hospital or health system.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
