    As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will provide primary and preventive medical services to adult patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting. Working within a collaborative, team-based environment, you will foster long-term patient relationships, promote health maintenance, and coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services to ensure optimal health outcomes. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, preventive care, and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.

    Job Description

    • Deliver full-spectrum internal medicine services, including diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions.
    • Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
    • Provide preventive health counseling, lifestyle advice, and health promotion strategies.
    • Coordinate referrals to specialists and outpatient diagnostics to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
    • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient management.
    • Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records compliant with regulatory standards.
    • Engage in continuous medical education, quality improvement activities, and clinical performance initiatives.
    • Uphold all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
    • Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility.
    • Current DEA registration.
    • Proven commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.
    • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with electronic medical records and quality metrics preferred.
    • Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours weekly, with expectations averaging 40 hours, including overtime as necessary.
