    Job Description

    • Perform a variety of diagnostic MRI examinations.
    • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment.
    • Ensure completion of routine and priority tasks within established time frames.
    • Assist physicians in diagnostic MRI and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
    • Educate patients on procedures, medications, or contrast media to alleviate fear and anxiety.
    • Mentor students and new technologists, fostering a constructive learning environment.
    • Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones and updating patient appointments.
    • Maintain accurate documentation related to patients, procedures, and exam charges.
    • Inventory and order accessories and supplies to maintain stock levels.
    • Implement protection devices and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment cleaning and disinfection.
    • Inspect and calibrate equipment for proper operation, reporting malfunctions to the supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience is required. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
    • CRT or ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MRI).
    • BLS.
    • 5 years of relevant experience.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
    • Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
    • Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments.
