    Job Description:

    • Responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing reusable Operating Room (O.R.) medical devices.
    • Trains and serves as a preceptor for Sterile Processing Technicians I, when needed.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent)
    • Six (6) months of sterile processing (or other relevant) experience or successful completion of a qualified, nationally recognized, sterile processing course.
    • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) or the Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) credential from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM).

    Reports To:

    • Manager/Sterile Processing, Supervisor/Sterile Processing, or Sterile Processing Educator.

    • None
