Pre-Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity

About the opportunity: This position is located in White Plains, NY, and offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts. The role requires 3-5 shifts per week and temporary privileges are available.

Job Description

• Conduct thorough patient histories, physical exams, and order necessary testing.
• Document patient diagnoses, planned procedures, and relevant surgical and anesthetic histories.
• Review medical histories, allergies, and perform focused physical exams.
• Review diagnostic studies and order additional tests as needed based on guidelines or clinical judgment.
• Facilitate seamless communication with the anesthesia team, ensuring patient safety and surgical readiness.

Requirements

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Minimum 2 years inpatient experience.
• Experience with pre-operative evaluations is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
