Job Description
- Oversee daily operations of all assigned areas
- Monitor, manage, and approve staffing levels
- Explain the procedures to patients or guardians/family members prior to exams to improve understanding according to age-specific needs and the patient's learning capacity and language barriers
- Position patients to the correct anatomical area of interest to properly collimate and shield according to ALARA principles
- Use multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions to ensure the continuity of patient care
- Prepare rooms for examinations (i.e., suction, oxygen, supplies) to ensure apparatus is in working order and ready to use to reduce patient risk
- Adjust technical factors to compensate for clinical diagnosis and patient condition
- Operate, care for, and maintain all equipment to provide proper utilization of apparatus
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or Associate's Degree preferred
- 2 years experience in MRI required
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MRI upon hire required
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
