    Physical Therapist

    TexasMed's Pro Sports Rehab services can help patients get back on their feet after a sports or work-related injury. We provide high-quality and personalized physical therapy treatment through each step of the patient's healing process.

    Job Description

    • Evaluate, examine, and utilize exercises, rehabilitative procedures, soft tissue massage, mobilization, manipulations, and physical agents including mechanical devices, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, and sound in the diagnosis or treatment of patients.
    • Evaluate the patient and determine appropriate therapies.
    • Progress the treatment as the patient's condition permits.
    • Document care provided.
    • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) and Physical Therapy Receptionist/Aide (PTR-A).
    • Participate in the quality assurance program.
    • Utilize modalities including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, kinetic activities, gait training, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), traction, application of topical medication to open wounds, sharp debridement, provision of soft goods, inhibitive casting and splinting, phonophoresis, iontophoresis, and biofeedback systems.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
    • Licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
    • Two years of experience preferred but new graduates considered.
    • Must maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
    • A personal vehicle, valid state driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a good driving record are required. Position requires travel and is authorized for mileage reimbursement.

    Schedule

    • Flexible schedule - Three days a week.
