Physical Therapist - PT

The Health Center at Bloomingdale is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. A therapist's overall responsibility is to manage the care of the patient/resident, ensuring quality of all related outcomes. The therapist participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, managing resources to meet the needs of the patient/resident and related customers while balancing outcomes with cost-effective and efficient treatment.

Job Description

• Manage the care of patients/residents, ensuring quality outcomes.
• Participate as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage resources to meet patient/resident needs.
• Supervise clinically all assistants and aides in delivering services according to an established plan of care.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with minimally a bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy, or a master's degree in speech-language pathology and/or equivalent certification accepted by the designated professional accrediting body.
• Foreign-trained therapists must meet the education standards as defined by the state licensing board in the state they practice in.
• Prefer experience/knowledge managing other rehabilitation personnel.
• Prefer experience/knowledge in long-term care facilities.
• Prefer experience/knowledge managing cost and productivity.
• Prefer outpatient experience/knowledge.
• Knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
• Actively licensed therapist in assigned state(s) of employment as a Speech Language Pathologist, Physical or Occupational Therapist, or related healthcare profession.
