    Job Description

    • Conduct behavioral health evaluations of individuals who suffer mental disturbances or present with a wide range of emotional disturbances
    • Services include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, counseling, consultations, evaluations, court-ordered assessments, prevention and outreach activities, aftercare, and referrals
    • 3 weeks on with call and 3 weeks off schedule
    • Requires quick thinking and great people skills, as you will be working intimately with the communities to help with care

    Requirements

    • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
    • Experience in rural or emergency care in some form
    • Travel between clinic and villages is required

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Compensation: $125,000 - $165,000 based on experience and education
    • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision

    • Ten (10) days per year for CME and $5000 for travel expenses and fees
    • Loan repayment options through the NHSC, IHS, and the State of Alaska
    • Housing and utilities are covered by the clinic
    • License fees and travel costs every two (2) years for ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certification covered by the employer
    • Malpractice insurance coverage under the Federal Tort Claims Act
    • Air travel expenses from Fairbanks to Fort Yukon for regular work rotations will be covered
