Join our team as a Physical Therapist at North Gate Health Care Center in North Tonawanda, NY. This full-time position offers a starting rate of $33.00/hr, with potential earnings up to $35.00/hr depending on experience.

Job Description

• Under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Director, provide physical therapy to residents and supervise Physical Therapy Assistant(s) and Physical Therapy Aide(s).
• Develop and apply physical therapy modalities, providing therapeutic exercise and functional training with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide gait and balance training using specific equipment.
• Document progress and develop patient/resident program modifications.
• Assist with evaluative techniques, participate in care planning, and perform other duties to enhance the health and quality of life of residents/patients.

Requirements

• New York State Physical Therapist licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Physical strength to lift between 50-100 lbs.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of health care disciplines and offer insight to patients and family members.
• Thorough knowledge of the educational and therapeutic values of occupational therapy, as well as the procedures and principles of administration, organization, and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Respect for residents' privacy and rights; display genuine concern and empathy for the elderly.
• Ability to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.
