You will treat your patients using more natural techniques and practices, focusing on what the body requires, while reducing pharmaceutical use.
Job Description
- Conduct psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations to diagnose emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using a holistic, strengths-based approach. Techniques may include DIR/Floortime and other neuro-affirming strategies.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Stay updated with the latest research and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Manage a caseload that includes a mixture of adults and pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- State licensure to practice as a psychologist in Michigan.
- 5+ years post-doctorate experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on holistic or integrative health practices.
- Willingness to supervise a master's level psychologist, which requires 8 hours of face-to-face supervision per month.
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
