    Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

    We are seeking a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our mental health team in Waterbury, CT. This full-time role offers a structured schedule and an excellent work-life balance while providing high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive outpatient setting. Additionally, this position is eligible for the loan repayment program through NHSC.

    Job Description

    • Provide high-quality psychiatric care in an outpatient setting.
    • Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders using evidence-based practices.
    • Triage clinical emergencies and implement safety protocols.
    • Utilize knowledge of referral processes and community mental health resources.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and reporting requirements for child abuse/neglect.
    • Comply with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.

    Requirements

    • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Connecticut.
    • Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
    • Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration and an active Connecticut controlled substance registration.
