Sparrow Lansing Hospital is seeking temporary Gastroenterology coverage over the next several months. This facility is a 733-bed, Trauma Level 1 hospital.

Job Description:

• Provide coverage from October ongoing
• Work stints include:
  • Oct 7 7am to Oct 14 7am
  • Oct 21 7am to Oct 28 7am
  • Nov 4 7am to Nov 15 7am
  • Nov 25 7am to Dec 9 7am
  • Dec 16 7am to Jan 1 7am
• Schedule: Monday-Sunday 8:00am-4:30pm
• Night call every night
• 24-hour call with 8 hours of onsite coverage per day and 16 hours of unrestricted call
• Inpatient only
• 20-22 patient encounters per day
• 10-12 new patients per day
• 2-4 procedures per day
• Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
• Required Upper GI Endoscopy: Diagnostic, Therapeutic with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal
• ERCPs preferred but not required
• 1 APP support staff available
• EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

• Candidates must be Board Certified
• Must complete orientation prior to the first day
• Privileging takes 60-90 days

Compensation:

• $550 per hour with an 8-hour guarantee Monday through Sunday
• $500 per weeknight for call Monday through Sunday
• $660 per hour for any hour worked in the facility from 5pm-8am each day
