Licensed Practical Nurse

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a skilled nursing facility. This position offers the opportunity to provide supportive and restorative care while working collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team.

Job Description

• Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care.
• Administer medications and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or other healthcare provider.
• Monitor that the Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision.
• Supervise certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Provide supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit healthcare team and services.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in New York State.
• 1 year of experience preferred. Computer skills required.
• Practices within the guidelines of the New York State Practice Act.

Benefits

• Night shift (10 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) with 80 hours per pay period.
• Evening and night shifts are eligible for a $1.60 per hour shift differential plus hard-to-fill shift differentials: Evening shift is eligible for an additional $3.50 per hour, and night shift is eligible for an additional $4.75 per hour.
• A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is available for these positions, subject to applicable taxes. Paid 1/3 in the first paycheck, 1/3 after 6 months, and 1/3 after one year with a 12-month commitment period. This bonus is not available to current UVM Health Network employees or those employed within the last 12 months. Must sign an agreement acknowledging terms and conditions.
• A relocation assistance bonus is available for eligible candidates.
