Unit Description

Alice Hyde Medical Center is a 25-bed acute care facility with an 11-bed Emergency Room. The ED sees 35-55 patients in a 24-hour period, operating with 11 beds and 4 additional hall beds to accommodate volume surges. Nurses are required to have 1 year of Med/Surg experience, and Critical Care experience is preferred. The incumbent of this position will float between the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, and Intermediate Care Unit. Must successfully complete the Arrhythmia/ICU class, equivalent, and/or receive a passing grade on the Challenge Exam. ACLS and BLS training and updating are required. PALS, ATLS, and CCRN are encouraged.
