Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager is in charge of the nursing care of all residents on the units, delegated to her/him by the Director of Nursing.

Job Description

• Oversee the nursing care of all residents on the units
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations

Requirements

• Two or more years of nursing experience in long-term care
• One year of administrative or supervisory experience
• Advanced preparation in unit management and principles of supervision desirable
• Experience in the field as a professional nurse with supervising skills utilized
• Knowledge of and interest in the field of geriatrics essential

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (RN program)
• Current license with Vermont State Board of Nursing
