Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Northeast Houston/Northshore, Texas
Job Description:
- Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients' needs for therapy.
- Develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders using clinical judgment.
- Create home exercise programs in partnership with patients' caregivers.
- Collaborate and coordinate care between various providers and disciplines as a vital member of the patients' medical neighborhoods.
- Complete a minimum of 6-8 patient visits per week (4 patients) with availability from 3:30-6:30 pm.
- Meet deadlines for patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and other necessary paperwork.
- Engage with agency personnel to maintain a clear understanding of expectations and standards for high-quality patient care.
- Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all applicable rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines, and laws related to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.
Requirements:
- A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
- Availability to support a caseload of 6-8 thirty-minute visits weekly from 3:30-6:30 pm (afterschool).
- An innovative spirit with a demonstrated history of reliability.
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary based on business needs.
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a home-health setting.
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (e.g., VitalStim).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
