Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Aldine/Greater Inwood, North Houston

Job Description:

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients' needs for therapy
• Develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients' caregivers
• Collaborate and coordinate care between various providers and disciplines
• Complete a minimum of 6-8 patient visits per week (4 patients)
• Availability required from 3:30-6:30pm
• Meet deadlines for patient chart updates, progress summaries, and all paperwork
• Meet with agency personnel to maintain understanding of expectations and standards
• Perform duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures
• Adhere to all applicable rules, regulations, codes of ethics, and laws

Requirements:

• Current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in Texas
• Availability for 6-8 thirty-minute visits weekly from 3:30-6:30pm
• Innovative spirit with a demonstrated history of reliability
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary
• Ability to use common workplace technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
• Experience in a home-health setting
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (VitalStim, etc.)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
