Physician Hospitalist

Location: Tarboro, North Carolina

Job Description:

• Manage Level II nursery and well newborn nursery (for Med-Peds trained physicians)
• Daily rounding, admissions, discharges
• Vent management and intubation, central line placement, and thoracentesis
• Schedule: 7 on/7 off schedule, 7 AM - 7 PM, with two 7 PM - 7 AM shifts every other week
• ICU Coverage: ICU managed by pulmonary critical care physicians from 8 AM - 5 PM; hospitalist team covers nights and weekends
• Team: Join an established team of 6 hospitalists
• Patient Volume: Anticipated patient volume is 15-20 patients per shift
• Support: Strong air and ground support to transfer patients to a Level I Trauma Center
• EMR System: System-wide integrated EMR EPIC

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required
