Anesthesiologist

Logan Regional Medical Center has immediate needs for a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for coverage the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas for vacation coverage.

Job Description

• Location: Logan, WV
• Duration: Vacation coverage
• Board Requirement: Board-certified/Board-eligible
• Schedule:
  • Dates: TBD
  • Shifts: 7 am - 5 pm, plus beeper call. Call schedule TBD.
• Procedures:
  • Caseload: General Surgery, Pediatrics, OB, Urology, Vascular, Ortho, Podiatry, GI. No Cardiac, No Neuro. Patients are very sick, so need a skilled and experienced physician.
• ORs and Case Volume:
  • 4 OR's, 1 Cysto Room, runs about 10-15 cases per day including C-sections. Hospital does about 15 epidurals per month, these are placed by the CRNAs. Cases start at 7:30 AM.
  • Hospital has an Endo suite with 2 rooms: 1 Bronch room and 1 ERCP Room. Cases start between 8-9 AM depending on the surgeon. About 20 cases per day.
• Backup: Currently 2 physicians on staff with 7 CRNAs who function very independently. CRNAs also take beeper call from home.
• License Requirement: Active WV license and DEA. Must be licensed before presentation.
• Privileges: 90 days.
