We work closely with physicians to solve problems for hard-to-source and hard-to-compound pharmaceuticals.

    Job Description

    • Dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care; this position is not tasked with directly compounding medications
    • Review prescriptions issued by physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed
    • Direct pharmacy technicians engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
    • Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
    • Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost
    • Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength
    • Instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy

    Requirements

    • Requires a Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy
    • 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred but not required
    • Management experience preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience preferred
    • Requires a Kentucky Pharmacist License
    • Licensure in additional states is preferred but not required

    Schedule

    1st Shift, 4-10 Hour Shifts
