Laboratory Generalist

Job Description

• Responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens.
• Performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures.
• Understands method principles.
• Performs quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Interprets results accurately, acceptably, and within critical limits.
• Works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines.
• Validates all data obtained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science - OR - Bachelor's in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program - OR - MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
• Clinical Laboratory Science experience required.
• ASCP or AMT eligible.

Required Skills

• Computer skills to include use and navigation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Multitasking.

• Core Lab/Generalist positions available with the following shifts:
  • Full Time Day Shift: M-F 7 AM - 3:30 PM; every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday.
  • Full Time Evening Shift: M-F 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM; every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday.
  • Full Time Night Shift: M-F 10:30 PM - 7 AM; every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday.
  • Part Time Night Shift: M-F 10:30 PM - 7 AM; every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday.
