Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

• Performs patient assessment
• Develops, implements, and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses
• Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations
• Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals
• Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate
• Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements

Requirements

• One (1) year inpatient operating room experience as a Registered Nurse, required
• Must be able to circulate a variety of specialties (including, but not limited to: Neuro, Spine, HEENT, General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Minimally Invasive, Robotic, Orthopedics)
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Will consider advanced outpatient surgery experience or completion of a specialty training program, formal residency or externship program
• One (1) year of acute care experience, required
• ICU, ED, or PACU experience preferred
• ACLS required within 3 months of hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
• Current California RN License, required
• Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
• ACLS required within 3 months of hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (positions floating to Endoscopy)

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen, and pre-employment background checks before starting work.

Salary/hourly wage range for this position is posted. Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
