Job Description
- Performs patient assessment
- Develops, implements, and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses
- Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations
- Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals
- Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements
Requirements
- One (1) year inpatient operating room experience as a Registered Nurse, required
- Must be able to circulate a variety of specialties (including, but not limited to: Neuro, Spine, HEENT, General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Minimally Invasive, Robotic, Orthopedics)
- Scrub experience strongly preferred
- Will consider advanced outpatient surgery experience or completion of a specialty training program, formal residency or externship program
- One (1) year of acute care experience, required
- ICU, ED, or PACU experience preferred
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
- Current California RN License, required
- Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (positions floating to Endoscopy)
Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen, and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
Salary/hourly wage range for this position is posted. Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
