Job Description
- The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.
- Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations.
- Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals.
- Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate.
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements.
Requirements
- Acute care or telemetry experience preferred. May consider RN experience in a long-term acute care facility or subacute facility in lieu of acute care.
- Current California RN License required.
- Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS within 90 days of hire required; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
- NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire required.
Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen, and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
Benefits
- Up to $50,000 bonus; up to $4,166.66 paid out monthly for 12 months after 30 days of employment. To receive the bonus, must have a minimum of 1-year experience in telemetry/IMC.
