Cardiologist - Invasive (Non-Interventional)

Job Description

• Provide outpatient management and inpatient consults
• Handle advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease
• Conduct telemedicine consults using AFHCAN telemedicine
• Manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout Alaska
• Participate in rural community visits 5-6 times per year

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine
• Fellowship in Cardiology
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology
• Any state license accepted

Skills and Attributes

• Expertise in invasive (non-interventional) cardiology procedures and treatments
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations
• Work in various clinical settings, including telemedicine and rural outreach

Working Conditions

• Work setting: Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center
• Travel required for rural community visits (2-3 days, 5-6 times per year)
• 10.5 weeks of call required
