    Hematology/Oncology Physician

    Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join a practice located in Ontario, Oregon.

    With over 500 providers, at Saint Alphonsus we take a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our practice is QOPI certified and accredited with the Commission on Cancer through the American College of Physicians.

    As part of our team, you'll work alongside a robust team of hematology/oncology physicians, bringing cutting-edge treatments to our communities. Our integrated program boasts leading surgical expertise, including the State's only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist. We also take pride in our innovative programs, including lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, advancements in neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.

    Job Description

    • Full-service cancer center with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology
    • Nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist services
    • Dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit with full-time Oncology Hospitalist
    • Weekly tumor boards with fellowship-trained surgeons

    Schedule

    • 4-day work week, 32 patient contact hours
    • Call is 1:9, evenings and weekends (hospitalist coverage M-F, 8-5)
    • Work in Ontario, OR (on the Oregon/Idaho border - 1 hour from Boise) 3 days a week and do outreach in Baker City, OR (1 hour from Ontario) 1 day a week

    Requirements

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
    • Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology Oncology fellowship
    • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, as well as Hematology Oncology - or obtain such certification within three years of employment
    • Obtain Oregon and Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC - Ontario, SAMC - Baker City and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
    • Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
