Board of Child Care's Caminos program provides safe, secure placement options for children who have recently migrated to the United States and are seeking opportunities for reunification with family as well as the chance to pursue their education and legal immigration cases. They are young and vulnerable, and have made the hazardous journey facing exploitation, abuse, and human trafficking alone and have been placed in our care.
Job Description
- Deliver culturally competent services that consist of mental health assessments, screening for human trafficking concerns, crisis intervention and support services, and psycho-educational support groups for recently migrated youth as they adjust to life in the United States.
- Support the delivery of Board of Child Care's (BCC) trauma-responsive model by collaborating with the Post Release Services case management team to ensure the youth and their caregivers receive comprehensive services and are connected to both formal and informal resources in their community.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement; or a Bachelor's degree in one of the above categories with at least five years of clinical experience from an accredited college or university.
- Current LGSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC, LGMFT, LCMFT, or eligible for licensure at the time of application. Need to change to VA licensing options.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (oral and written).
Benefits
- Work-life balance is critical to the health and well-being of our employees, which is why we offer full-time employees generous paid leave, 12 paid holidays, and comprehensive health benefits options that include vision and optional dental.
- All UMFS employees (this includes part-time and PRN) are eligible for our Employee Assistance Program and a 401(k) with employer match.
