Dental Assistant

Under direct supervision, is responsible for assisting the Dentist in the treatment and processing of patients; and performs related duties as required.

• Assist the Dentist in the treatment and processing of patients
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements

• One year assistant experience including oral surgery; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Graduation from an accredited dental assistant school preferred
• Must be qualified to perform radiographic procedures if any of the criteria is met:
  • Current certification as a certified assistant by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc.
  • Successful completion of the dental radiation health and safety examination administered by the Dental Assisting National Board Inc.
  • Successful completion of an examination specified by the TSBDE and administered by a licensed Texas dentist.
