Psychiatric Services Assistant

Assists Psychiatry Services and nursing staff with patient preparation and treatment procedures for both acute and non-acute illnesses or injuries. Performs routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment. Assists in maintaining the therapeutic milieu by utilizing appropriate communication skills. Performs clerical duties associated with patient care management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree is required
• One year of equivalent experience is required
• Three years of experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred
• Phlebotomy experience and notary public preferred
• Must have current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card
