    Rheumatologist

    The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM)/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking a dedicated, collaborative rheumatologist with superb clinical acumen to join our team as a member of our faculty. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide specialized, interdisciplinary care to patients with Sjögren's Disease and Vasculitis at the UPMC Sjögren's Disease and Vasculitis Centers respectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in participating in Sjögren's and Vasculitis clinical trials to advance both patient care and research. Experience in musculoskeletal, vascular, and/or salivary gland ultrasound would be a highly advantageous asset, though training can be provided.

    Job Description

    • Join a distinguished cohort of exceptional physicians renowned for their expertise and professionalism.
    • Cover general rheumatology clinics and provide inpatient care in the UPMC system at Pittsburgh-based hospitals.
    • 4-day work week.
    • Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Sjögren's Disease Center.
    • Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Vasculitis Center.
    • Sjögren's and vasculitis clinical trials.
    • Minimum of 6 inpatient weeks per year (negotiable).
    • Provide quality rheumatology instruction, training, and mentorship in the inpatient/outpatient settings to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Interact with their academic and basic science colleagues in the Division of Rheumatology and the Department of Medicine as part of their employment; this includes but is not limited to attending division and departmental faculty meetings, serving on committees, working to solve/address quality concerns, and attending grand rounds.

    Requirements

    • Must have an MD or equivalent.
    • Be board certified in Internal Medicine and be BC/BE in Rheumatology with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license.
    • Must have completed an accredited fellowship in Rheumatology.
    • H1B visa sponsorship available. Additional visa sponsorship can be discussed.
