    Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the outpatient clinic setting seeing breast cancer patients.
    • Conduct and document comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.
    • Synthesize data and utilize evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in technical/procedural skills, as appropriate based on specialty and training.
    • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
    • Facilitate/participate in quality-related initiatives through planned group processes, workshops, seminars, and staff meetings to improve clinical and system practice performance.
    • Collaborate in research projects and protocols; routinely apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Master's degree or higher in nursing with documentation of completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program or a Master's degree or higher from an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing or licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
    • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
