Faculty Position in Hematology/Oncology
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Job Description:
- Join the Classical Hematology Program at UVA, a dedicated team of physicians with expertise in hemostasis and thrombosis, anemias, platelet disorders, bone marrow failure syndromes, myeloproliferative disorders, and other rare hematologic diseases.
- Provide care to adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings at the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center at UVA.
- Engage in clinical and/or translational research opportunities.
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Responsibilities:
- Outpatient clinical care of patients with various non-malignant hematologic diseases.
- Attend on the inpatient hematology consult service intermittently.
- Educate and evaluate medical students, medicine residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and advanced practitioners.
Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board certified/eligible in Hematology; board certification in Internal Medicine is encouraged.
- Strong clinical skills in classical (non-malignant) hematology.
- Interest in clinical investigation and/or translational collaborations.
