Mental Health Clinician

The Mental Health Clinician provides crisis intervention both by phone and face-to-face with individuals and families as appropriate. The Clinician collects information to determine specific needs and desires for purposes of referral to appropriate services and/or more in-depth assessment. Other functions include hospitalization screens, knowledge of, and referral to community resources, and documentation of all clinical interventions on appropriate forms. The position requires flexibility, reliability, clinical competence, and the ability to work closely with consumers, families, and professionals within and outside the organization. Supervision is provided by the Crisis and Intake Program Coordinator-Crisis.

• Refer clients to community resources as needed.

Requirements

• At least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychiatric Nursing.
• Current Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board or Board of Nursing license.
• One (1) year post-degree experience in the mental health field with experience assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders is preferred.
• Eligibility for Title XIX reimbursement is required.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to perform day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including data entry and frequent movement to various community agencies.

Benefits

• Pay: $26.56 - $44.14 per hour.
• Evening shift, on-call, and weekends as needed.
