    Crisis and Intake Clinician

    This position is part of the team that represents the initial point of contact for clients seeking Valeo Behavioral Health Care services either for Intake or Crisis. The clinical services include completing mental health assessments and facilitating referrals into Valeo outpatient services, and providing crisis interventions (including state hospital screens) to consumers face-to-face who walk in for services, by phone, or in the community. The clinician will make referrals to community resources and document all clinical interventions on appropriate forms. This position is supervised by the Crisis and Intake Program Coordinator and Crisis and Intake Program Manager.

    Job Description

    • Complete mental health assessments and facilitate referrals into Valeo outpatient services.
    • Provide crisis interventions, including state hospital screens, to consumers in various settings.
    • Make referrals to community resources and document all clinical interventions appropriately.

    Requirements

    • Master's in Psychology (LMLP or LCP), Counseling (LPC, LCPC), or Social Work (LMSW, LSCSW).
    • Two years of experience in the mental health field with experience assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders.
    • Licensure at the clinical level of Social Work (LSCSW) preferred.
    • Current Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board license and eligibility for Title XIX reimbursement and other third-party insurances.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of community resources and basic computer skills.
    • Flexibility, reliability, clinical competence, and ability to work closely with consumers, families, and professionals.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
    • Ability to perform day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including sitting for long periods, data entry, movement to various community agencies, and ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds.

    Pay

    • $57,116.00 - $85,654.00 per year
