    Located just over an hour outside of Denver, Valley View Villa, a Life Care Centers of America facility, is in beautiful Fort Morgan, Colorado. Our in-house therapy programs offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care and state-of-the-art rehab equipment such as the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill.

    Job Description:

    • Direct the three rehab departments of physical, occupational, and speech therapy to ensure the highest quality of rehab services.
    • Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
    • Function as staff therapist as caseload requires.
    • Oversee and evaluate care given by therapy students.
    • Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise Rehab department staff.
    • Direct the growth, development, and maintenance of rehab programs.

    Requirements:

    • Active license in physical (BSPT, MSPT, DPT, or PTA), occupational (BSOT, MSOT, COTA), or speech (MA, MS, CCC SLP, or CFY SLP) therapy.
    • Currently registered/licensed with applicable State and maintain an active license in good standing.
    • Two (2) years' supervisory experience in post acute care or related setting.
    • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation and must remain current.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

    Specific Job Requirements:

    • Liaison with patients, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needs.
    • Functional knowledge of payer reimbursement, labor management, and supply budgets.
    • Exercise good body mechanics at all times.
    • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
    • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.

    Essential Functions:

    • Maintain appropriate staffing patterns as clinically indicated.
    • Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
    • Effectively manage department budget.
    • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
    • Assist in the evacuation of patients.
    • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
    • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
    • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
    • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
