Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado
Located just over an hour outside of Denver, Valley View Villa, a Life Care Centers of America facility, is in beautiful Fort Morgan, Colorado. Our in-house therapy programs offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care and state-of-the-art rehab equipment such as the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill.
Job Description:
- Direct the three rehab departments of physical, occupational, and speech therapy to ensure the highest quality of rehab services.
- Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
- Function as staff therapist as caseload requires.
- Oversee and evaluate care given by therapy students.
- Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise Rehab department staff.
- Direct the growth, development, and maintenance of rehab programs.
Requirements:
- Active license in physical (BSPT, MSPT, DPT, or PTA), occupational (BSOT, MSOT, COTA), or speech (MA, MS, CCC SLP, or CFY SLP) therapy.
- Currently registered/licensed with applicable State and maintain an active license in good standing.
- Two (2) years' supervisory experience in post acute care or related setting.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation and must remain current.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Specific Job Requirements:
- Liaison with patients, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needs.
- Functional knowledge of payer reimbursement, labor management, and supply budgets.
- Exercise good body mechanics at all times.
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain appropriate staffing patterns as clinically indicated.
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
- Effectively manage department budget.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Assist in the evacuation of patients.
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
