    Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

    Job Description

    • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
    • Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, tube feeding, and aesthetic laser treatment as needed.
    • Manage acute illnesses and injuries in patients, including toddlers and adults.
    • Document patient interactions accurately in medical records using ICD-10 coding.
    • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Maintain a clean and organized medical office environment while adhering to safety protocols.
    • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and preventive care.
    • Respond effectively to emergencies and provide immediate care as required.

    Requirements

    • Completion of Master's or Doctorate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution with a valid license to practice in the state.
    • Experience in inpatient critical care setting is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in performing medical procedures such as IV insertion and tube feeding.
    • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including toddlers.
    • Ability to lift patients as necessary while ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is advantageous.
