    Job Description

    • Under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging Services, works closely with the Chief/Lead Technologist and Radiologists to perform diagnostic computerized tomography (CT) examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy of the organization, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care for patients of all ages.
    • Performs and records quality control data for departmental equipment, reporting needs for repairs or preventative maintenance.
    • Participates in performance improvement areas that are identified.
    • Shall be capable of operating CT related radiographic equipment, perform radiological procedures, operate the PACS and utilize radiographic supplies per department standards.
    • Participates in On Call requirements, supporting CT services in the Medical Imaging Department, as well as back-up support for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Diagnostic Radiology.
    • Manages the work flow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments.
    • Identifies each patient, reviews orders for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis) and records pertinent data in RIS/PACS at all times.
    • Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to Radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
    • Demonstrates ability to organize patient care and set priorities by providing critical care first and by implementing the physician's orders.
    • Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner to ensure the delivery of quality care according to age specific guidelines ranging from infancy to geriatrics.
    • Adheres to all department/Hospital safety procedures for patient and material handling.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to Compliance and Ethics Program.

    Shift Position

    Weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7am-7pm

    Position Qualifications

    • Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 year
    • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
    • Certifications: LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
