Lead Veterinary Anesthesia Technician
VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is looking to expand our specialty team! Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking a Lead Veterinary Anesthesia Technician to join our Specialty Team. Positions are open in Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. Veterinary Specialists is a 24-7 hybrid and specialty referral hospital located in West Hartford, CT. Job Description
- Advanced anesthesia procedural monitoring
- Full technician skill utilization
- Collect patient history and physical exams
- Refill medications and communicate with clients
- Medical calculations
- Venipuncture and IVC placement
- Hands-free radiology (associate safety a top priority)
- Work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Provide compassionate care for all patients
Requirements
- Certified Technician with at least 2 years of anesthesia experience in a specialty hospital
- Positive attitude and ability to assist with case flow
- Support the specialty team with challenging surgical cases and provide training and support as appropriate
