Venture Forthe is currently seeking a Registered Nurse Educator for an immediate opening.

Position Summary

We are currently hiring for a RN Instructor in Steuben County (Primarily Bath and Hornell) area! As a PCA Instructor, you will conduct training for home health and personal care aides. Additionally, you will assist in the agency's continuing education, in-service program, and field competency testing of all clinical staff.

Sign-On Bonus

• Up to $10,000 based on the number of hours the individual is working on a part-time basis. For example, if working in a full-time 40 hours/week capacity, the individual would be awarded $10,000. If the individual works part-time 20 hours/week, the amount that would be awarded would be $5,000.

RN hires will receive bonus payments, equally divided upon the bonus given:

• After 90 days of continuous working.
• After six months of continuously working.
• After 270 days.
• After one year of employment.

Job Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Be a licensed and registered professional nurse in New York.
• Have graduated from an accredited nursing school with a diploma, baccalaureate, or master's degree.
• Have at least two years of nursing experience, including one year of experience in home healthcare services within an Article 36 or Article 40 agency or an equivalent out-of-state agency.
• At least one year of education or instruction experience preferred.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the scope of practice for both professional and paraprofessional healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

As an instructor, your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching NYS PCA (Personal Care Assistant) certification classes in the county of application, with occasional travel to other counties.
• Assisting in creating, revising, and maintaining training materials and courses for the Personal Care Assistant Training Program (PCATP).
• Supporting the agency's continuing education and in-service programs and conducting field competency testing for all clinical staff per NYS DOH regulations.
• Potentially overseeing, coordinating, and directly supervising the agency's paraprofessional staff and private duty/shift nursing services.
• Supplemental Schedule: On-call once monthly (subject to change).

Compensation Details

35-40 Hourly Wage
