    Physician - Anesthesiology

    Henry Ford Health System is seeking a highly qualified, full-time Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training to join our dynamic team at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a Level 2 Trauma Center in Jackson, Michigan.     Job Description

    • Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services across a variety of settings, including the operating room, obstetrics, and pediatric cases.
    • Provide 8 to 12 weeks of dedicated service annually in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including home call coverage.
    • Lead and collaborate with a growing team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in managing complex postoperative patients recovering from cardiac surgery, major vascular procedures, and TAVR.
    • Share anesthesia call duties proportionally based on ICU coverage requirements.
    • Participate actively in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
    • Engage in teaching and mentoring residents and APPs, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Record and document patient care seamlessly using Epic EMR.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental policies in a fast-paced trauma center setting.

    Requirements

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
    • Critical Care fellowship training strongly preferred.
    • Valid DEA certification.
    • Current BLS, PALS, and ABLS certifications.
    • Candidates must be available to start ASAP.
    • H1B and J1 Visa candidates are welcomed.
    • Not suitable for locum/locum-to-perm candidates, or those with lapsed board certification.
    • Candidates must be willing to commute within one hour of Jackson, MI, and prefer consistent shift schedules as described.
