    Hematology-Oncology Physician

    Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate, board-certified (or eligible) Medical Oncologist to join our vibrant outpatient oncology clinic in scenic Brattleboro, Vermont. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Job Description

    • Provide outpatient oncology care, managing a caseload of approximately 14-16 patients per clinic day.
    • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans for a broad spectrum of cancer conditions.
    • Offer inpatient consultation services as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
    • Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
    • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner CommunityWorks EMR system.
    • Stay current with advancements in oncology through ongoing education, research, and professional development.
    • Participate in shared on-call duties (schedule negotiable) and weekend rotations to support hospital coverage.

    Requirements

    • Valid medical license in the state of Vermont.
    • Board Certification or Eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • DEA registration.
    • VMS certification requirements: BLS, Board Certified or Eligible, DEA.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Proven experience in outpatient oncology preferred but not mandatory.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
