    Capital Health Medical Center Hopewell is seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Neonatologist to join our esteemed, collaborative practice within our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).     Job Description

    • Deliver comprehensive and specialized neonatal care in a 30-bed Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 17 patients.
    • Oversee and manage over 400 NICU admissions annually, ensuring optimal outcomes through advanced clinical interventions.
    • Provide a blend of clinical duties including 24-hour in-house coverage and 10-hour daytime shifts, maintaining a balanced schedule to support work-life harmony.
    • Utilize advanced neonatal technologies and therapies such as High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic cooling to treat critically ill neonates.
    • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of seven neonatologists, fostering a team-based approach centered on quality care.
    • Participate actively in educational activities by mentoring students, Family Practice residents, and upcoming OB/GYN residents scheduled to commence in summer 2025.
    • Contribute to the regional perinatal center's efforts, supporting approximately 4,000 deliveries annually and working closely with obstetric and pediatric teams.
    • Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and stay current with emerging neonatal care practices and innovations.

    Requirements

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
    • Valid medical license for the state of New Jersey.
    • Demonstrated expertise in neonatal critical care and advanced ventilation and monitoring technologies.
    • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a compassionate approach.
    • Residency within the immediate local area is preferred; relocation assistance may be available.
