Hematology/Oncology Physician

Job Description
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology; double board preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in hematology and/or oncology
- Proficiency with the EPIC EMR system (assessment required prior to start)
- Valid NC state medical license and DEA certification
- BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a minimum of 15 hematology patients per day, including follow-ups and new patient consultations
- Comfortable working in a general hematology/oncology role, focusing on benign hematology
- Ability to write prescriptions, order tests, and coordinate care with pharmacy and support staff
Requirements
- Experience with outpatient and inpatient hematology/oncology care
- Familiarity with oncology clinical pathways and treatment protocols
- Multilingual capabilities to support diverse patient populations
- Additional certifications in related specialties or areas of interest
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in North Carolina
- Prior experience in ambulatory hematology and oncology clinics
- At least 2-3 years of relevant clinical practice
Other Requirements
- State license in North Carolina required
- Compliance with DEA regulations
- Willingness to travel for coverage, including flights, rental cars, and lodging; all travel expenses reimbursed
- Availability to work a 4x10-hour day shift (7:00 am - 5:00 pm)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Adherence to all hospital and professional standards, including safety and confidentiality protocols
