    Physician - Hospitalist - OB (Nocturnist)

    UCHealth Medical Group and the Women's Care Clinic in Longmont are seeking an experienced, board-certified OB/GYN Nocturnist to join our dynamic, patient-centered care team at UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital.     Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care during nocturnal shifts, including labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage.
    • Manage gynecological consults for acute cases arising overnight, ensuring timely assessment and intervention.
    • Conduct urgent assessments and implement appropriate interventions for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
    • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including 8 OB/GYN physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs), fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
    • Offer backup support for complex cases with multispecialty professionals on-site.
    • Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality by participating in hospital safety protocols and quality initiatives.
    • Communicate clearly and efficiently with day teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions through thorough handoffs.
    • Document all patient interactions, procedures, and consults accurately within a fully integrated Epic EMR system.
    • Engage in hospital committees and process improvement projects to enhance inpatient obstetric care.
    • Support a flexible schedule of 6-12 nocturnist shifts per month, promoting a sustainable work-life balance.
    • Contribute actively to a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with UCHealth's mission to improve lives.
    • Lead emergency obstetric responses, including rapid management of maternal or fetal complications.
    • Mentor and support residents or APPs during shifts when applicable.

    Requirements

    • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
    • Valid medical license to practice in Colorado or eligibility to obtain one.
    • Proven experience in inpatient obstetrics and gynecology.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
