Job Description
- Perform advanced echocardiography techniques to provide high-quality cardiac imaging services.
- Recognize abnormal structures and correlate findings into comprehensive studies.
- Utilize ancillary devices and adapt techniques as needed.
- Work primarily day shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- At least a two-year echocardiography accredited program, including technical and clinical training culminating in an associate degree or higher.
- Minimum of two years of experience in adult echocardiography, preferably in an acute setting.
- Certification as a RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) by ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) by CCI.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proficiency in 2D, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble study, strain, 3D, and stress echo techniques.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with advanced echocardiography technologies.
- Familiarity with emerging cardiac imaging techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and innovative approach to procedural deviations.
Preferred Education and Experience
- An associate degree or higher from an accredited echocardiography program.
- At least two years of relevant hands-on experience in adult echocardiography, particularly in acute care settings.
